We offer a variety of education programs to schools, tailored for grades K-12. Jug Handle educational activities take place both on and off the Nature Center site. Our programs are primarily presented to school groups who come on field trips in the area. We utilize hands-on student-centered activities, games, stories, and songs to teach Environmental Education to kids. Our education topics include:

Our programs are presented in the field by certified naturalist and can include hands on activities. Outdoor programs available from August through November and April through June. Occasional restoration planting activities in December and January.
We also conduct service-learning programs with area schools, where younger students are mentored by middle and high school students in restoration and monitoring projects.
